Building Performance Analyst

The position demands an experienced professional with a background in building performance simulation and the built environment.  This professional will have deep knowledge of building energy standards such as AHSRAE 90.1, California Energy Code, International Energy Code, and sustainability metrics such as CALGreen, LEED, and Living Building Challenge.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing projects as directed by the Building Performance Manager, including aspects of planning, scoping, budgeting, scheduling, deciding technical approach, ensuring technical quality, tracking, and ensuring customer's expectations are met or exceeded; Develop insightful reporting products to inform and tell the client’s story; Performing energy modeling, building simulations, daylighting, and load calculation analysis; Preparing energy and green building assessment reports based on analytic findings which include detailed equipment specifications and cost savings analysis; Energy efficiency program implementation; Conducting technical peer review; Performing LEED, Incentive Programs, and Title 24 analysis; Performing renewable energy feasibility assessments; Analyze simulation results, data analysis, insights, and trouble-shooting; Working on national projects to help develop industry standards and guidelines

Minimum Qualifications: A technical bachelor’s degree in an energy-related discipline (mechanical or environmental engineering background preferred); At least 3 years of working experience with California Residential and Non-Residential Title 24 energy standards; At least 3 years of working experience with LEED Certification documentation and calculations; At least 3 years of work experience in the building energy efficiency field; Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Experience with energy simulation tools Integrated Environmental Solutions, CBECC-COM CBECC-RES, EnergyPro, and EnergyPlus related software; Ability to independently complete engineering analysis including performance assessments and cost-effectiveness analysis; Basic computer graphics skills (AutoCad, Revit, SketchUp, etc.); Demonstrated technical writing skills; Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment

Additional Desired Qualifications: Experience with Data Centers, Laboratories, Hospitals, or indoor agriculture-controlled environments;Mechanical Engineering design experience
