Master planning and design of an eight building
multi-phase project that includes a new vehicle maintenance facility, office and dormitory space, vehicle wash bay, large and medium size vehicle parking garages, animal shelter, fueling station, Salt/Sand Barn, and police equipment and evidence storage. The project includes many sustainable design features including a rain water collection system, a water-cooled variable refrigerant flow HVAC system using a geothermal ground loop, and radiant heating. Climate appropriate design features include roof, gutter, downspout and walkway snow melt systems, freeze protection for the fire sprinkler system and exterior hose bibbs, and preheat of ventilation air using a dedicated outside air system with heat recovery.
