Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Exploration Center // Monterey, California

New visitor & exploration center that will provide dynamic, interactive and multi-media exhibits designed for both children and adults. The two-story building houses a theater with wide-screen, real-time, underwater video, state-of-the-art teaching classroom, gift shop, administrative offices as well as exhibits with hands-on samples of geology and watershed and biodiversity displays.  With intent to achieve sustainable features include natural ventilation, day lighting and views overlooking the ocean, high efficiency thermally insulated glass, infrastructure for photovoltaic system and learning programs on green building education.
