Guttmann & Blaevoet is an active member of the Decarbonization Working Group. The group has been identifying barriers in the Codes and standards to allowing all electric buildings. The group is actively advocating for changes. Also, we are now founding members of the Building Decarbonization Coalition, charged with identifying and advocating for changes to Codes to facilitate climate change mitigations in the built environment. We are convening a task force of industry experts to develop an “affiliate event” leading up to the Global Climate Action Summit this Fall. Our hope is to identify more opportunities to influence our legislators and our design community to advance ZNE and Climate Change mitigation in the built environment.
